New diapers?!?! AWWWWWWWSOME!

Is it not THE greatest feeling to get new fluff in the mail? Or go out and purchase some new fluff?

I would like to think it ranks among the greatest!

It would be even greater if you could just pop them right on your little one and use them right away. But sadly, we must prep before we get to enjoy.
WHAT A DOWNER!

Now, some diapers come with some information on how to get them prepped, some don't. For those of you looking for information on how to do it, well, here it is!

PUL - Wash, dry on HOT HOT HOT to seal the pul so you don't have leak issues.

Synthetic fibers (Microterry, Microfiber, Micro-anything) - These don't take much to prep. I suggest washing once with soap, dry, washing without soap, dry. DONE! (I wash on HOT) If you want you can toss them in another time WITH soap.

Natural/organic fibers (Bamboo, Hemp, Cotton) - These take a bit more time! Of course they are natural fibers so they have natural oils and stuff that we want to get out before we start using so they are nice and absorbent! :) Most natural fibers take between 5-8 washes to gain their absorbency. The best part! They get more absorbent the more they are used, washed and dried. So, alternate washing with and without soap, and dry approx 6 times before use. I usually do a wash with soap on the first and last wash, they rest I leave soapless. (I wash on HOT)

And that's it! After some prep they are ready to use! But do note that if you are having some leaking or other issues with them, they may require some extra prep. Don't fret they will come around! Just continue to prep or use a strip method and that should do the trick!

If you are having problems even after trying to prep please contact me so we can figure it out! And again, don't get discouraged! :D
