I would like to think it ranks among the greatest!
It would be even greater if you could just pop them right on your little one and use them right away. But sadly, we must prep before we get to enjoy.
WHAT A DOWNER!
Now, some diapers come with some information on how to get them prepped, some don't. For those of you looking for information on how to do it, well, here it is!

PUL - Wash, dry on HOT HOT HOT to seal the pul so you don't have leak issues.
Synthetic fibers (Microterry, Microfiber, Micro-anything) - These don't take much to prep. I suggest washing once with soap, dry, washing without soap, dry. DONE! (I wash on HOT) If you want you can toss them in another time WITH soap.

And that's it! After some prep they are ready to use! But do note that if you are having some leaking or other issues with them, they may require some extra prep. Don't fret they will come around! Just continue to prep or use a strip method and that should do the trick!
If you are having problems even after trying to prep please contact me so we can figure it out! And again, don't get discouraged! :D
Thanks for sharing. It is always nice to have a refresher! Definitely something to share with m friends who are wanting to try cloth
ReplyDeleteI have a question!! You stress rinse rinse rinse, my washer does not have a separate rinse cycle so I wash with soap on hot with a double rinse , then usually 2 more wash cycles with double rinse is that enough?
ReplyDeleteCan you not just set it to the rinse on the regular cycle and start it from there Kim?
DeleteMuch appreciated info.
